Terms and Conditions

These terms describe use of the free browser utilities at 10MinuteTimer.us. By using the tools, you should understand their scope and limits. If those limits do not suit your task, choose a service or device designed for the required purpose. Questions about the site can be sent through the Contact page.

Service scope

The site provides preset countdowns, classroom timing, work/rest routines, focus-and-break cycles, an elapsed stopwatch and independent countdown cards. The tools are intended for ordinary supervised tasks, study activities and general time measurement. They operate in a supported browser with JavaScript enabled for interaction.

The timer pages are free to use and do not require an account. The project can change features, update content or interrupt availability for maintenance. No subscription, paid service level or guaranteed response time is created by using a free tool or sending a support message.

Timing, audio and availability limits

Countdowns calculate remaining time from deadlines, and the stopwatch measures active elapsed time. Browser scheduling, device sleep, suspension, audio policies, system-clock changes and user input delay can affect what appears or when an alert is heard. The site does not promise an exact alarm at every intended instant on every device.

Keep the relevant page open and the device awake when using an on-page alert. Closed tabs and browsers cannot be relied on to continue delivering alarms. Keep screen awake and fullscreen are optional browser requests that may fail or be released. Offline reloading is not a supported feature unless a future tested implementation expressly provides it.

Do not use these tools as your sole system for emergencies, medication, unattended cooking, safety controls or other time-critical tasks. No certification is claimed for professional race timing. Appropriate dedicated equipment and professional procedures should carry tasks that require dependable delivery or certified precision.

Your use of the tools

Choose settings appropriate to the task and check the applied preview before starting a schedule. A default focus/break pattern is a configurable example, not health advice or a guarantee of improved productivity. You remain responsible for deciding how to respond to the end of a countdown or a recorded lap.

Use the site without attempting to disrupt its hosting, inject executable content, bypass access controls or interfere with another visitor’s use. The tools accept plain task labels; do not enter passwords, student records or sensitive personal information, especially on a shared screen. The site is not a secure note-taking or records-management system.

Local data and results

Optional saving stores settings and known snapshots in the browser on the device you use. It does not create a backed-up site account. Browser cleanup, private browsing, storage restrictions or an application change can remove saved data. Keep your own copy of stopwatch results or information you need later.

Restoring a saved running snapshot requires a deliberate choice and does not certify how an activity proceeded while the page was closed. Resetting a stopwatch or removing a timer can discard the relevant local results. Read confirmation messages and copy information before completing those actions.

Content and third-party services

Original site code, copy, diagrams and brand artwork are provided as part of this project. Third-party images or linked material remain the property of their respective publishers, with credits and rights status recorded separately. Availability on this site does not grant you permission to copy or redistribute someone else’s material.

External links and optional video players are provided for context. Following a link or loading a player can subject the visit to another provider’s terms and privacy practices. The project does not control third-party availability, advertising, content changes or data handling. The main timer can be used without loading an optional video.

Questions and changes

For a correction or reproducible issue, email hello@10minutetimer.us with the page, browser and steps. Keep private labels and sensitive attachments out of the report. A support message does not guarantee an immediate response, a fixed resolution date or uninterrupted service.

Read the Privacy Policy for local storage, hosting and contact-data handling. These terms must be reviewed by the owner against the deployed service and applicable law. They do not invent a company identity, office address, governing jurisdiction or a waiver of rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
